The HR Director will work closely with the senior management team to align strategic business objectives with employee matters as well as handle day-to-day transactional HR items. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, implements corporate policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development, consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach. Our ideal candidate would also have extensive knowledge and experience in immigration and labor laws.


  • Works with the leadership team on people/workforce strategies, helping develop high potential talent and supporting a high performance culture.
  • Provides consultation, leadership, judgement, and quality control in the administration and interpretation of employment, employee relation, and performance management policies, systems, procedures, and documentation and succession planning processes; while assisting with the development and implementation of internal protocols and procedures in accordance with existing employment law, regulations, policies, guidelines and systems.
  • Manages employee relations issues, including one on one counseling, performance reviews, claims requests, training, and office and firm wide events.
  • Participates in coordination of all recruiting efforts, including development of recruiting goals and strategies, job postings, on campus visits, interviews, and reporting of results.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with the HR team to oversee benefit and payroll administration, including 401k, healthcare, FSA, immigration, and maintenance of our human resource database.
  • Manages and oversees the execution of the firm's semi-monthly payroll, including the tracking and uploading of all changes and updates to the database. Generates salary and wage reports as needed.
  • Maintains updated knowledge and understanding of US federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 10 plus years of Human Resources experience, including 4 years of manager experience, HR Specialty or other closely related business experience.
  • Able to build and sustain strong relationships with leadership team, traders, developers and all employees within the company.  Able to manage highly sensitive matters; maintain confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing and developing a team of HR professionals.
  • Immigration and labor law expertise strongly preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
